ECZA SIGNS MOU WITH SLA TO TRAIN AND SUPPORT NATIONAL TALENTS SPECIALIZED IN TRANSPORTATION AND LOGISTICS IN ECONOMIC CITIES

ECZA has signed an MoU with the Saudi Logistics Academy (SLA) to train national talents to tap into their potential and facilitate their employment in the Kingdom’s ECs. The move comes within the framework of PPP, aligns with national efforts aimed at developing human capital as one of the key goals of Vision 2030, and will contribute to enhancing the investment environment in the ECs.

The MoU was signed in Riyadh on May 30, 2023, between Mr. Mazen Al Saleh, Vice Secretary General for Economic Cities Affairs at ECZA, and Dr. Abdullah A. Al-Abdulkarim, Executive Director at SLA.

The MoU aims to provide programs, diplomas and training courses for employees of ECZA and transport and logistics companies in the ECs, to upskill Saudi nationals and raise their production efficiency to enhance the capabilities of the domestic transport and logistics sector. The MoU also includes agreement to explore ways to overcome obstacles to the development of human resources and other related activities in the ECs, as they are one of the tributaries of the national economy.

In addition, the two parties agreed to cooperate in helping realize Vision 2030 and contribute to transforming Saudi Arabia into a global logistics hub by maximizing opportunities and economic impact and accelerating the diversification of targeted sectors, including the transport and logistics sector, as well as sustaining the growth of these sectors and achieving their leadership.
