ECZA has signed a MoU with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and EEC. This agreement, signed on the sidelines of the LEAP event, which was held at the Riyadh Front Expo Centre, from February 6-9, will facilitate development efforts and investments in KAEC’s digital infrastructure.
The MoU will enable local and international investment attraction through value-added incentives and developments in KAEC’s 5G, IoT, and smart city solution capabilities. The recruitment of tech companies seeking suitable prototype testing facilities, as well as those looking to establish a physical presence in KAEC and found their own innovative initiatives in new and emerging technologies such as 6G, IoT, autonomous vehicles, digital twins, and Metaverse, will also be explored.
Aside from its various technology transfer and localization initiatives, the MoU also covers investment permits, corporate registration, and building and operating permits.
Through its strategic PPPs, ECZA helps promote competitiveness, attract quality investments and FDIs to ECs and SEZs, localize capital investment, and achieve the targets of Vision 2030.
