In line with its role in regulating and supervising the ECs, and in the context of creating an attractive environment through legislation, controls and standards that enable ECs to successfully contribute to the development process, ECZA hosted an introductory workshop entitled ‘Food Safety Control Procedures’ at its HQ in KAEC on March 6, 2023.
The workshop, which targeted restaurants, kitchens, and catering service providers, attracted the participation of representatives from 23 establishments across the food and beverage sector in the ECs. The session focused on food and beverage safety control procedures and best practices in health and safety.
In addition, the workshop sought to introduce investors to the inspections’ key findings and the rectification mechanism, as well as highlighting ECZA’s digital system for Oversight & Enforcement, and the food safety reporting system and mechanism.
