ECZA and Emaar the Economic City met on January 3rd with Marafiq, a leading provider of integrated utility services, to discuss ways to further develop the power and water utilities framework within KAEC.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mazen Z. Al-Saleh, Vice Secretary General for Economic Cities’ Affairs; Mr. Cyril Piaia, the CEO of KAEC, and Mr. Mohammed Al-Zuabi, the CEO of Marafiq.
Mr. Mohammed Bokhari, Executive Director and KAEC Business Partner, gave a presentation about ECZA’s operational scope, its goals and the services available to investors within its comprehensive government services center. Mr. Bokhari also detailed ECZA’s strategic Vision 2030 initiatives and related programs, which encompass the empowerment of economic cities to facilitate domestic growth and enhance their global competitiveness.
Mr. Al-Zuabi welcomed a strategic partnership between KAEC and Marafiq, highlighting that the two sides will continue to discuss collaboration to provide the city and its projects with necessary power needs.
The visit included a tour of KAEC in which Marafiq delegates were shown power stations, as well as water desalination and processing facilities. Delegates also toured KAEC’s Industrial Valley, residential areas, and the Royal Greens Club, where they were informed about the latest developments in the city.
