In line with ECZA’s efforts to support the national industry in the strategic sectors, ECZA’s King Abdullah Port Affairs Department celebrated the export of the first shipment of Volvo trucks from to Australia. The successful export of these 228 trucks, manufactured at the Arabian Vehicles & Trucks Industry factory in the Industrial Valley (IV), represents a major milestone in the Kingdom’s industrial capability diversification efforts.

This achievement is one of many for King Abdullah Port, and reflects an ongoing commitment to public and private sector cooperation. Such partnerships are integral to ECZA’s investment environment development approach, which aims to attract a wide range of international companies who will in turn contribute to the growth and development of the non-oil export market, a key Vision 2030 objective. The trucks were manufactured as part of a joint venture between Zahid Tractor and Volvo Trucks, Sweden's leading manufacturer of heavy trucks, at KAEC’s IV assembly facility. This facility, built to the highest international standards, guarantees optimum efficiency and performance.
