ECZA AND SLA VISIT A NUMBER OF COMPANIES AND FACTORIES IN KAEC TO ENHANCE LOGISITCS CAPABILITIES

A delegation from the Saudi Logistics Academy, headed by its Executive Director, Dr. Abdullah Al-Abdulkarim, visited ECZA in KAEC on June 14, 2023. The visit follows the signing of the MoU between ECZA and SLA aimed at providing programs, diplomas and various training courses for transport and logistics companies in the ECs, and to upskill Saudi nationals and raise their production efficiency to enhance the capabilities of the domestic transport and logistics sector.

The visiting delegation was received by Executive DG and KAEC Business Partner Mr. Bassam Sadek, followed by a tour of KAEC, wherein the SLA delegation was briefed on KAEC's facilities and residential district. The tour also included the IV, where they stopped at the central warehouse of Panda, and the logistics center of Alshaya Group, in addition to the Alpha Pharma facility. Meetings were also held with company directors and their representatives, after which the visit concluded with a workshop with the developer of King Abdullah Port and the port companies of various specializations.

Also, during the visit, an overview of SLA was presented, showcasing its aim is to empower, support and qualify national cadres in transport and logistics services, in addition to enhancing the value of logistics and increasing knowledge and awareness about it, the localization of Saudi cadres in this field, as well as the possibility of providing training courses related to the sector.

This visit falls within the framework of cooperation between ECZA and SLA with the aim of achieving Vision 2030 and contributing to transforming KSA into a global logistics hub by maximizing opportunities and the economic impact, and diversifying it for the targeted sectors, including the transport and logistics sector, and sustaining the growth of these sectors.
